Biography

Youth

Training

Studied drama and film at the University of Stellenbosch (199*-2000), doing a doctorate on late twentieth century film and the work of Quentin Tarantino.

Career

Taught film and text analysis at Stellenbosch and in Pretoria, did the marketing for the H.B. Thom Theatre and was the technical editor of South African Theatre Journal (SATJ, 1995-1999). A reviewer for the Publications Control Board (1998-1999). Wrote a number of reviews of the Grahamstown Festival over the years. In later years became a travel expert , inter alia co-writing a number of the international Frommer travel guides.
