My Sister in this House is a play by American playwright Wendy Kesselman (1940-)[1].

The playwright uses the same historical material which inspired Jean Genet’s The Maids.

Performance history in South Africa

1989: The first South African production was by CAPAB Drama, opening in the Nico Arena in May. Directed by Mary Dreyer, with designs by Birrie le Roux, lighting by Mark Behrens and starring Diane Wilson (Madame Danzard), Fiona Coyne (Isabelle), Belinda Koning (Christine), Pauline O'Kelly (Lea), Ralph Lawson (Voice of medical examiner), Marthinus Basson (Voice of photographer), David Clatworthy (Voice of judge). This production was also presented at the Grahamstown Festival, 1989.

1996: Presented by the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department at the H.B. Thom Theatre in October, directed by Angerie van Wyk, starring Lorraine Burger, Willemien Brümmer, Ellenore Wessels, Nikki Louw, voice of medical examiner, Keith Bain.
