Biography
He studied law at UCT but chose theatre as a career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
His experience ranges from parts in children's productions to puppet theatre and musicals. He has been seen in several CAPAB presentations, including Kismet, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair and as Johnny in the musical revue Rollercoaster. He starred in Travels with my Aunt at the National Arts Festival in 1994. He played Tom Valianus in The Sisters Rosensweig in 1995.
Mauro was the assistant production designer for the opening ceremony of the Cricket World Cup at Newlands in Cape Town in 2003.
In 2005 he was the Theatre on the Bay publicist.
Awards, etc
Nominated for a Regional Vita Award (1994/95) for Best Promising Performance in Travels with my Aunt.
