Natania van Heerden (19**-). Actress, teacher.

Biography

Born and raised in Pretoria. She moved to the USA in 1994 with her husband and children and returned to South Africa in 2006.

In the USA she taught drama at a studio in San Diego.

Training

Natania studied at the University of Pretoria Drama Department in the 1980s.

Career

She joined PACT 1987-1989.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She appeared on stage in Die Prys (1987), Op Dees Aarde (as Baby, 1987), Sing jy van Bomme (as Baby, 1988), The Balcony (as The General's Horse, 1988), Die Proponentjie (as Wania Oberholzer (1988), Die Salem-verhoor (1988), Antjie Somers and I (as Antjie Somers, 1989), in a production in Afrikaans of King Lear (as Cordelia, 1990) and Die Eend (as Katrien, 1993).

She wrote and produced the play Agter die Boereworsgordyn.
