In 1930, after the marriage of two performers ([[Wena Naude]] and [[Willem van Zyl]]), the Hanekom Geselskap (the "Hanekom Company"),  became known as the '''Hanekom-Van Zyl Geselskap''' (“The Hanekom-Van Zyl Company”) and toured with two shows (''[[Wie is wie?]]'', an Afrikaans translation of ''[[Who is who?]]'' by Will Evans and H.A. Jones’s ''[[The Silver King]]'', translated into  in Afrikaans as ''[[Die Silwer Koning]]''). Parts of the latter tour took place under the auspices of [[African Theatres]]. The company ceased to exist after the tour, when the Hanekoms formed their [[Hanekom Toneelskool]] (Drama School) in Bloemfontein.

Jones’s The Silver King, translated into in Afrikaans as Die Silwer Koning). Parts of the latter tour took place under the auspices of African Theatres. The company ceased to exist after the tour, when the Hanekoms formed their Hanekom Toneelskool (Drama School) in Bloemfontein.
