Murder on the Nile (1944) is a two-act play by Agatha Christie (1890-1976), based on her novel (1937) of the same title. In December 1988 it was directed by Rex Garner for Pieter Toerien Productions and staged at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town. The cast consisted of Floris de Clercq (Steward), Diane Appleby (Miss Ffouliot-Ffoulkes), Tammy Bonell (Christina Grant), Jeremy Crutchley (Smith), Tanya Logan (Louise), John Whiteley (Dr. Bessner), Lynita Crofford (Kay Mostyn), David Clatworthy (Simon Mostyn), Rex Garner (Canon Pennefather) and Janet du Plessis (Jacqueline de Severac).
