Translations is a 1980 play by Northern Irish playwright Brian Friel (born 1929). The action takes place in a hedge-school in the townland of Bailie Beag/Ballybeg, an Irish-speaking community in County Donegal in 1833.
Performance history in South Africa
1985: Presented by PACT Drama with performances in the State Theatre, Pretoria (17-26 October 1985), and the Alexander Theatre in Johannesburg (31 October to 23 November 1985). Directed by Bobby Heaney.
