Popcorn, by Ben Elton
Popcorn is a black comedy by British playwright Ben Elton, best known for the Blackadder series. The play, taking a penetrating look at the absurd values of Hollywood, is about a day in the life of Bruce Delamitri, a film director nominated for an Oscar.

1998-1999: Staged in the Tesson Theatre at the Civic Theatre, Johannesburg, directed by Dawn Lindberg in March 1998, featuring Sean Taylor, Michele Maxwell, Shelley Meskin, Anthony Fridjhon, Nick Boraine, Amanda Lane, Lucinda Hooley, Catherine Daymond and David Webb. Decor by Stan Knight, sound by Des Lindberg. The same production was staged in the Baxter Theatre in February 1999 and again in the Tesson Theatre at The Civic in March 1999, with Sean Taylor, Nick Boraine, Amanda Lane, Russel Savadier, Nicole Abel, Ann Stradi, Lucinda Hooley and Helen Desbois.
