GOLDIN, Brett. (198*- 2006) Actor, playwright, voice artist. Acted professionally since he was 11 years old. Has a BA in English and Drama and a Performer’s Diploma from the  University of Cape Town. Biography

Brett acted professionally since he was 11 years old.

He was murdered on April 16, 2006, on the eve of leaving for Stratford-upon-Avon with the Baxter’s Hamlet company. The Brett Goldin Bursary Fund was founded by the Royal Shakespeare Company in England, The Actor's Centre in Johannesburg and the Baxter Theatre Centre in Cape Town, in honour of his memory.

Training

He had a BA in English and Drama and a Performer’s Diploma from the University of Cape Town.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Stage credits include roles in Macbeth (Maynardville, 20**), Two Gentlemen of Verona (Maynardville, 20**), More (***), Pickups (**), A Tale of Two Cities and The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole (**), Hamlet (Baxter Theatre, 2005).
