The prominent attorney, politician, sportsman and amateur actor and director C.V. Becker (aka Clarry Becker) was her grandfather.
Studies and career
She studied Speech and Drama at the University of Cape Town, then went on to enjoy a career of modelling and acting, until opening her first agency when Television was first introduced into South Africa in 1976. In 1997 she established Gaenor Artiste Management.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As actress she has appeared on stage in An Ideal Husband (1969), The School for Scandal (1969), Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (1969) and as “Sheila” in A Friend Indeed, directed by English actor David Tomlinson (1973)
Film roles included the feature films Die Lewe Sonder Jou by Dirk de Villiers (1972) and Dog Squad by Kavalier Films (released in 1973),
She became an agent in 1977 and later in 1994 founded her own agency Gaenor Artiste Management.
