Duma Ndlovu Actor’s Academy (DNA) established by Duma Ndlovu in 2015.
The DNA Academy was established so as to help those who have graduated from arts institutions (Wits, AFDA, DUT, TUT, UCT, etc) with a diploma or a degree in Drama or performance arts to help them bridge the gap between school and the industry. It operates from the Joburg Theatre.
The DNA classes are completely free - candidates audition at the beginning of the year only the best 30 candidates are selected for the DNA classes. The workshops run for a duration of one year and at the end of the pogramme students are granted a recognizable certificate.
