Koos Roets (1943- ) is an award-winning South African film director, producer and cinematographer.

Biography

Born Mathys Jakobus Roets on 7 January, 1943,


He began his career in the film industry in 1962 as an assistant cameraman for Jamie Uys.

He later began directing films himself, working in both South Africa and Australia.


He and his brother Hannes Roets founded the company Pendulum Films.

Awards

His nominations and awards include four Artes Awards, two Rapport Oscars, three ATKV Awards, four Star Tonight Awards as well as the Stephen Farrell Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding cinematography.
