Charmaine Kendal is an educator, novelist and playwright

Biography
She has a Master's Degree in Language and Literay Studies from the University of Cape Town (2005 - 2007)
Began as a teacher of English in the Western Cape, (2000 - 2014), holding a variety of management positions, becoming a deputy principal in 2008.
In 2015 she began working as a freelance Educational Specialist, lecturing at Varsity College, Rondebosch, inter alai doing taff development and workshops.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Author of the play Doorways
Other publications include the novels Miscast, Leopard Calling, as well as co-authored English Text books for Oxford University Press.
Winner of the Maskew Miller Longman Literature Award for drama in 2015 for the play Doorways.
