Gerhard Marx (1976- ) [1] is a South African artist, theatre and film designer.

Biography
Contribution to South African theatre, film, media and performance
He has been the designer for productions of William Kentridge and the Handspring Puppet Company, Tshepang (2003), Lara Foot's Othello (2023-4)
As a playwright he has written theatre pieces like They Say and Hear and Now.
He lectures at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Over the years he has been a fellow of the Eckhart Residency, the Sundance Film Institute, the Annenberg Fund and the Ampersand Foundation;
