Based on the stories and verses of Edward Lear. First produced by the Worcester Repertory Company at the Swan Theatre, Worcester for the Christmas 1968 season.

1973: Produced by Sue Broer for the UCT Drama Department and staged at the Arena Theatre for the 1973 Christmas holidays. Amongst those in the cast who went on to acting careers were Gillian Harris, Jane Auld, Pippa Dyer, Jonathan Rands, Diana Cox, Etienne Puren and Judith Krummeck.
1976: Produced by Rhodes University Drama Department, directed by Jane Osborne in August 1976.
1982: Produced by the Dramatic Society of East London at the Guild Theatre, directed by Michele Brandenburger with Lawrence Hilton in the cast.
