Superman by Pip Simmons. An improvised text utilizing multi-media, masks, flashing lights, a revival of 50s rock and Pink Floyd to ***. Pieter-Dirk Uys adapted and directed it for The Space (Cape Town) in 1973, having the cast re-improvise the play to make it more suited to The Space Theatre and its South African audience. The cast was Bill Curry, Bill Flynn, Blaise Koch, Jacqui Singer and Maralin Vanrenen, with John Nankin as set and lighting designer, assisted by Brian Astbury.
