The original text
A one act verse play with two characters ("Hy" and "Sy"), dramatised as a physical theatre piece.
It seems that the initial draft text for this play was called In die Lente ("In the spring"), but appears to have been altered to Pampoenfluit, of which probably at the suggestion of the director, for performance.
An annotated computer printout of In die Lente (no author named) was found in the archive of the Stellenbosch Drama Department, as well as a computer printout of Pampoenfluit, ascribed to Juan Els. Now held in the Performing Arts Research Collection (PARC) at the Africa Open Institute for Music, Research and Innovation, with offices at Pieter Okkers House, 7 Joubert Street, Stellenbosch, South Africa.
