Pampoenfluit (lit. "Pumpkin flute") is an Afrikaans one act verse play by Juan Els.

The original text

A one act verse play with two characters ("Hy" and "Sy"), dramatised as a physical theatre piece.

It seems that the initial draft text for this play was called In die Lente ("In the spring"), but appears to have been altered to Pampoenfluit, of which probably at the suggestion of the director, for performance.

An annotated computer printout of In die Lente (no author named) was found in the archive of the Stellenbosch Drama Department, as well as a computer printout of Pampoenfluit, ascribed to Juan Els.
