The Macdona Players was a theatre company founded by Charles Macdona (1860–1946)[1], an actor and theatre manager, in 1921, to specialise in plays by George Bernard Shaw.

They toured widely, including a season in South Africa during 1925, with a repertoire that included Pygmalion, Candida and You Never Can Tell.


Macdona was born on 3 October 1860, in Dublin, Ireland and died on 15 November 1946, Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK (aged 86 years)
