Sharupa Dutta is a professional theatre actress, director and producer.

Biography
Born and raised in India, she is a theatre actress and director/producer who has produced and directed numberois theatre productions and television shows, including serials, soap operas, chat shows, game shows, cookery shows, cultural programmes and telefilms.
Since the early 1990s Dutta has been an intrinsic part of the company Teamwork Arts Pvt Ltd and is the Producer of the Jaipur Literature Festival, India.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
In 2010 Dutta came to South Africa to with the production At the Edge and Other Cato Manor Stories, performed by Jailoshini Naidoo, as part of the fourth edition of the Shared History - The Indian Experience Festival, presented by Teamwork Productions in association with The High Commission of India. The production was directed by Sharupa Dutta, with music by Siva Devar.
