Marjorie Wyatt Stayt (1905-1975). Artist, designer of programmes, posters, costumes and sets.

Biography
Marjorie Wyatt Stayt was born in 1905. She trained as an art teacher and visited many countries in Europe to study their methods of art education.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
She did five programme designs for Ons Teatertjie Toneelgroep in Pretoria, including for Rooibruin Blare and Ousus (both by H.A. Fagan, 1936) and Hantie kom Huistoe (Schumann, 1936).
As a member of Volksteater, she did more designs, among them for Suster Beatrys (Maeterlinck, 1937), Katrina (Schumann, 1937).
Helped Anna Botha as designer/stage manager ("toneelmeester") on Hantie kom Huistoe (Schumann, 1936) for Ons Teatertjie Toneelgroep and worked in a similar capacity on Suster Beatrys (Maeterlinck, 1937).
