Gérard Rudolf (1966- ) [1] is a South African stage, film and television actor and poet.

Biography
Youth
Training
Graduated from University of Pretoria Drama Department in 1989.
Career
After one year with CAPAB he started a theatre company in Cape Town with a friend. He subsequently worked exclusively on television, his first production being Arende.
He became head of the Drama Department at City Varsity until his resignation in January 2002. Gérard moved to England and returned to South Africa in August 2010.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
On stage he has appeared in Vat hom, Flaffie!, Much Ado about Nothing (1990), Sky en Czech (his translation into Afrikaans from the original English, 1991), Generaal Mannetjies Mentz (1999), as Boet du Toit in Wyn (KKNK, 2001).
He also had roles in the KykNet television series Transito, Woestynblom (SABC Television 1995), the feature films Paljas and Wolwedans in die Skemer, and in the short film Husk. He appeared in the feature film Kanarie (released in 2018) as the chaplain.
