A one-act play by Geraldine Aron (1941-).

The original text

One of Aron's "Irish" plays, but written in Cape Town, it is similar in its poetic and minimalist form to her earlier Bar and Ger, and tells the story of a mismatched couple through thirty-five years of marriage with humour and tenderness.

First performed in Cape Town in 1979, later the year also premiering in Galway, Ireland. The text was first published as an acting edition by Samuel French in 1981, then in the Aron play collection Seven Plays and Four Monologues by David Philip Publishers Ltd. in 1985 and in the collection Play Spectrum: Short Plays for High Schools (ed. H. Houghton-Hawksley) in 1986.
