Looking for Muruga is a play by Kriben Pillay. A satiric play about a Zulu student training to play the classical Indian role of the god Muruga.

Based on a real character (now dead), the play brings together an aging barman and a young teacher, wbo is looking for a man he knew during his student days, a waiter called Muruga.

1990: First shown as “work-in-progress” in the Asoka Theatre in 1988, but first performed formally in the Asoka Theatre, UDW 1990. Directed by Robin Singh.
