One of the leading members of the Cape Flats Players. He was particularly well known for his role as "Moegamat Salie" in many productions of Dit sal die blêrrie dag wies!. His last stage performance was in 2002 at the Gariep Arts Festival in What about de lô?.
Other appearances as actor were in Dié kant dáái kant (1984), Weed Killers (1985) and Kanna hy kô Hystoe (1999 and 2003).
He directed Freedom Now! (1989).
As playwright he wrote Dêm... Die Intolerance (1995), Die "Invisibles" (19**), Mix Masala.
He had a role in the TV series Yorkman.
Awards, etc
He was awarded the Patrick Petersen Award by the Afrikaanse Skrywerskring posthumously.
