The original text
The play is about a middle aged man who leaves his wife and their 24-year-old daughter, for a relationship with a much younger woman.
First performed on 14 November 1995 at the Playbox Theatre, Melbourne, Australia, going on to performances in more than three dozen countries, including productions on Broadway and in the West End.

2004: Pieter Toerien presented a version of the play at the National Arts Festival and from 24 August-4 September at the Theatre on the Bay. Directed by Alan Swerdlow.
