He was well-known as actor in the Western Cape. He was regularly seen in productions by K.A.T.. He was also their secretary for many years.

He had stage roles in Opdrifsels and Moeder Hanna.
He directed Die Swaweltjie is Dood and Sit Sarel in 1951 and Die Spieël for K.A.T. in 1952.
He translated the play Sit Sarel.
