The Guga S'Thebe Arts and Cultural Centre was created in the 1990s as a focal point for cultural improvement and empowerment of Langa township, one of the oldest townships in South Africa. It is today an important part of the wider Langa Cultural Precinct[1].
The centre is equipped with an amphitheatre, conference room, meeting rooms, exhibition areas, art studios, a resource centre, an Internet café and also a Cape Town Tourism Visitor Centre. Not only is this venue available for hire but it is open to the public from Monday to Friday between 9h00 and 18h00.
In 2015 a new venue, the the Guga S'Thebe Theatre was added to the Centre. See also the Guga S'Thebe Theatre
