1851: He assisted in aan evening of "Dramatic Entertainments", including readings from various plays (Lady of Lyons, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, etc.) by Mrs Greig, a visiting stage artist on her way to England from an engagement in the eastern colonies, took place in the Stockmarket Building in Cape Town in May.
