Premièred by the Universiteitsteater Stellenbosch in the H.B. Thom Theatre in September 1980, directed by Herman Pretorius, with Dup du Plessis (MC), Hélène Truter (his Spouse) and Koba Wicomb, Jeannine Wolhuter, Johan Rademan, Gaynor Calitz, Jannie Hofmeyr, Edie Henn, June van Merch, Herman Binge, Randall Wicomb, Anton Smith, Niel le Roux, Davida Day, Theresa Marais, Sharon Theron, Johann van Heerden, Kobus Hanekom and Pamela Moag. Orchestra led by Koba Wicomb, choreography by Esther Nasser,ostumes by Elaine Aucamp, lighting by Emile Aucamp.
