A Dutch version of the 5-act German tragedy Abällino der grosse Bandit ("Abällino the Great Bandit") by Heinrich Zschokke (1771 - 1848), first produced in 1794.
Translated into Dutch by Jan Steven van Esveldt Holtrop - also written Aballino, De Groote Bandiet. The Dutch version first performed ***, published by J. Dóll, 1805
1835: Dutch version performed in Cape Town
1873: Dutch version performed in the Odd Fellows' Hall by Door Ijver bloeit de Kunst (D.Y.b.d.K.) on 18 September 1873.
