1987 Pulitzer Prize-nominated play written about the life of Barry Champlain, a talkshow host, by American actor, playwright, monologuist, and novelist of Armenian descent Eric Bogosian (born 1953). The play, with Bogosian in the lead role, premiered off-Broadway at The Public Theater on May 28, 1987, in a production directed by Frederick Zollo.
Performance history in South Africa
Directed by Craig Freimond at the Civic's Thabong Theatre in 1998, starring Frank Opperman, Stephen Raymond, James Ngcobo, Amanda Lane, Anthony Coleman.
