The Tidings Brought to Mary (L'annonce faite à Marie) (1912) by French playwright Paul Claudel (1868-1955). In the play the leprous Violaine, through her unquestioning assurance in the all-loving God, effects a miracle and brings back to life the dead child of her sister.
