J.G. Tredoux Snr
(17**-18**) A French immigrant who played an important role in the founding of the early French and Dutch theatre.
J.G. Tredoux Jnr
(18*-18*) Son of J.G. Tredoux Snr, he was the founder and leader of Door Yver Vruchtbaar in 1827. *** Tot Leering en Vermaak (Tot Nut en Vermaak?* - See below), an early Dutch-language amateur dramatic society at the Cape (1803-1847). [JH & TH]
