She studied Speech & Drama at the University of Cape Town
The prominent attorney, politician, sportsman and amateur actor and director C.V. Becker (aka Clarry Becker) was her grandfather.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As actress she has appeared on stage in An Ideal Husband (1969), The School for Scandal (1969) , Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (1969) and as “Sheila” in A Friend Indeed, directed by English actor David Tomlinson (1973) and in the feature film Dog Squad released in 1973. She was also in a film in Dirk de Villier's Die Lewe Sonder Jou, then in Dog Squad for Cavalier Films and after that in A Friend Indeed.
She became an agent in 1977 and later in 1994 founded her own agency Gaenor Artiste Management.
