L'Oiseau Bleu is a 1908 play by Belgian author Maurice Maeterlinck (1862-1949)[1].

The Blue Bird: a fairy play in six acts translated from the French by Alexander Teixeira de Mattos.
Performance history in South Africa
(circa 1933): Hermien Dommisse directed a production of this play for Pretoria Girls High School while a pupil there.
1951: Presented by the Brian Brooke Company in October 1951 at the Hofmeyr Theatre, Cape Town.
1977: The Bluebird of Happiness presented by Imps Drama Workshop and Bergvliet Dramatic Society at MOTH Hall, Bergvliet, directed by Lieske Bester.
