Colin was CAPAB's regional director in the Eastern Cape until his resignation in January 1994.

As actor

His association with theatre in Port Elizabeth began in 1962 when he appeared in The Wooden Dish (PEMADS).

He was in the cast of productions in Port Elizabeth of Night Was Our Friend (1962), Death of a Salesman 1962). Hamlet (1963). In 1966 he appeared in a PACOFS production of Twee Voëls met Een Skoot. He also appeared in Richard III (1968), and As You Like It (Mannville, 2007).

As director

He directed a number of productions, including A Thousand Clowns (PEMADS, 1970), Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood (PEMADS, 1987), Wait Until Dark (Arts Theatre Club, 1988), A Bedfull of Foreigners (Arts Theatre Club, 1989), A Christmas Carol (PEMADS, 1991)

As playwright

He wrote Cupid in Tyhume, Holy Man, Who took all the Christmas trees? and adapted Poland’s The Adventures of Ntini the Small Otter for the stage.

As production manager (film)

He was the production manager of the films Siener in die Suburbs (1973), Fighter Pilots (1974), Geluksdal (1974), Ongewenste Vreemdeling (1974) and several other films.
