Mirage - the play (1928)

A one-act play by Dora Taylor, member of the Cape Town Repertory Theatre Society, it tells the story of a man and a woman whose philandering is interrupted by a visitor whose presence turns out to be catalytic.

First performed by the Cape Town Repertory Theatre Society at the Hiddingh Hall on 29th October, 1928.

In 1976 it was dubbed into Afrikaans and broadcast on SABC TV1 in the first year of television in South Africa, going on for 3 seasons (39 episodes). (The series was also dubbed into English as The Aeronauts for the UK market.)
