mehlo-maya (eye-to-the-sun) is a theatre company founded and directed by Bobby Rodwell
The company
The company has produced a number of theatre pieces based on personal narratives over the years, including The Story I Am About to Tell (1997, based on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) hearings), flipping the script (2007) and Theatre on Trains (2011), Frontières (2021),
The company collaborated with the Market Theatre to curate and present the Kaza Kamba Pan African Theatre Festival
