Christian Musical Theatre is a community project in Hartebeespoort by René van Zyl and Marlene MacKay.
The venue
Founded in in 2008, the non-profit community project was inspired by the 2008 film Mamma Mia![1], and is aimed to use the magic of theatre to tell old Bible stories. - with a non-profit objective. The company states contemporary Christian musicals that convey Biblical values in an energetic, humorous and entertaining way.
Their annual performances are normally done in the Kuierkerk in Hartebeespoort.
The scriptwriter and co-director of the company is author René van Zyl.
