Cleo Wesley is a performer and theatre maker

Biography

Completed a BA (Hons) in Theatre and Performance at the University of Cape Town in 2015 and made his professional theatre debut in 2016, performing in the Fugard Theatre’s hit musical District Six – Kanala, directed by David Kramer, and The Fall which he co-created.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Theatre

As a performer

Besides a number of roles in student productions, professional appearances include "Desmond" & "Denver" in District Six, Kanala, "Friar Laurence" in Romeo and Juliet, "Prodo" in Scenes from an Execution, and a many others

As a playmaker

Co-writer and co-creator of, and performer in, The Fall (2016).

Film

Roles include appearances in Runs in the Family, Table Mountain (a short film), Nightmare on Long Street,

Television
