Charmaine Kendal is an educator, novelist and playwright

Biography

She has a Master's Degree in Language and Literay Studies from the University of Cape Town (2005 - 2007)

Began as a teacher of English in the Western Cape, (2000 - 2014), holding a variety of management positions, becoming a deputy principal in 2008.

In 2015 she began working as a freelance Educational Specialist, lecturing at Varsity College, Rondebosch, inter alai doing taff development and workshops.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Author of the play Doorways

Other publications include the novels Miscast, Leopard Calling, as well as co authoring English Text books for Oxford University Press.

Winner of the Maskew Miller Longman Literature Award for drama in 2015 for Doorways.
