The cast: [[Gary Lomberg]], [[Jenny de Lenta]], [[Ashleigh Sendin]] with [[Kevin Feather]] as the Piano Man. It enjoyed sell-out seasons, standing ovations and acclaim from the media when it played for three years all over South Africa.

1985: First opened on August 13 in The Laundro, a small experimental venue under the stage of the Alexander Theatre in Johannesburg. Original choreography by Claire Robins, additional choreography by Trish McKenna, musical arrangements by Kevin Feather. Lighting design by Skip Wright. The cast: Gaby Lomberg, Jenny de Lenta, Ashleigh Sendin with Kevin Feather as the "Piano Man". It enjoyed sell-out seasons, standing ovations and acclaim from the media when it played for three years all over South Africa.
