Journal of Literary Studies/Tydskrif vir Literatuurwetenskap
Usually referred to separately as either the Journal of Literary Studies in English or the Tydskrif vir Literatuurwetenskap in Afrikaans when cited. The journal was founded circa 1984, and is an independent yearly publication owned and published by the Literature Association of South Africa, in partnership with Unisa Press and Routledge.
It publishes original and cutting-edge research in the form of articles and full-length review essays on literature and comparative literature (including drama and theatre). The work is informed by general Literary Theory, Cultural Theory, Genre Studies, and Critical Theory.
