She studied modern dance with Kurt Jooss in Germany. In the mid-1960s she taught Movement (Acting) at the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department.

She had roles in Our Town/Ons Dorp (1959), Juffrou Edelwater (1962), Drie Dae Meester (1965), Antigone (by Jean Anouilh) (1965), Ladies in Retirement (1965).
She was the co-translator (with Cynthia Dekker) of Drie Dae Meester (1965).
