Seymour Dallas made his South African acting debut in Kimberley's Theatre Royal in the 1870s where he was a regular contributor.
16 and 17 February, 1874: Performed as an amateur in Disney Roebuck and company’s production of the English dramatist, T W Robertson’s comedy-drama, Caste, as well as a performance of Beazley’s The Lottery Ticket, at the Mutual Hall, Cape Town.
He performed in G.R. Sims' three-act comedy, Crutch and Toothpick, when he played the role of The Hon Guy Devereux. It was produced by Captain Disney Roebuck on April 20–21, year unknown, in Port Elizabeth's Theatre Royal.
