Prometheus is musical comedy in Afrikaans and English by Ben Dehaeck (1922-2017).
Also known as Prometheus Komedie
Not to be confused with Aeschylus's play Προμηθεὺς Δεσμώτης, (known as Prometheus Bound in English[1]) and his three other plays about the mythical figure of Prometheus[2].

The original text
A bilingual (Afrikaans and English) musical skit based on a conflation of the Greek myth of Prometheus[3] and the Biblical story of Adam, Eve and the Serpent.
The text unpublished, but a copy found in the Stellenbosch Drama Department archives in 2022.
Translations and adaptations
Performance history in South Africa
1996: Presented by the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department in the H.B. Thom Theatre in April 1996. The director was Ralph Lawson and the cast included Quint Meyer, Paul du Toit, Gaerin Hauptfleisch, Nicole Holm, Amelda Brand and others.
