Toby van Eck (1942-2016). Actor, puppeteer.

Biography

After graduating, he got a job at PACT head of the props department and later began lecturing in puppetry at Rand Afrikaanse University, now the University of Johannesburg, and in Pretoria.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He performed in Futz and Just Hilda!, both productions at the Space Theatre in 1974.

He produced Strings and Things at the Breytenbach Theatre, Pretoria, in 2006.
