He played "Trinculo" in a production of The Tempest in the City Hall, Cape Town, in 1946.
He was a member of the Trafalgar Players, Cape Town, in the 1950s for whom he performed in Here Endeth the First Lesson and Though I Speak (double-bill, Woodstock Town Hall, 1950) and The Yearning of my Heart (a playreading, Little Theatre, Cape Town 1958).
