He made his debut in Poison in 1994 and travelled to Malaysia with the show in 1995. He played Dawid in Fiela's Child, 1996 (7?). He was seen as an aristocrat in Evita and as Bokkies in Antjie Somers. He played Ugly in Honk!, 2000. Mortimer also had a role in the television series Erfsondes.
